Indian Traditional Wedding In A Style of Candid Wedding Photography
How candid wedding photography is trending these days that proves the wedding of Varun and Vaidehi. Varun has done his MBA and studied in cities all his life. He is the only son of his family. So his elders wanted to arrange this marriage in their traditional home at Madhya Pradesh. Being a only son, you are always pampered. You can’t say NO to the wishes of your family at the time of your wedding “kyonki Shaadi baar baar thhodi hee hoti hai…”.
Varun also could not decline their wish. But he wanted his traditional wedding to be captured in a style of candid wedding photography. That’s what a real challenge for me too. I have overheard from many photographers in Indian weddings that “the light was not good at last wedding” OR “stage was not decked up properly, bride was a bit plump”. If everything does not fall in our way, we start complaining and that’s how human mind works.
This wedding was not a big fat wedding. It was a wedding full of real rituals and ceremonies. These rituals exist in Indian civilization for the time we are a part of it. There was very low light situation. Emotions were too much controlled but expressed beautifully. By studying or working in city life, we do not witness these traditions very often.
