One needs the medium to express its creativity with efficiency. Here the medium is camera no matter it is Canon or Nikon or Sony etc.

There is a myth in the market. If seller is not aware of something and pass it on by saying ‘I don’t know’ then it loses the customer.

If sellers do not know something, they do not admit this fact. You are misinformed because nobody wants to lose the customer.

People need clarity before buying things or shopping around. Why they should buy a product from seller? Customers always have general queries before buying anything first time.

But, some queries related to photography surprise me. These queries come out of the womb of misinformation. I have filtered these queries.

I am sure that even photographers will get surprised after going through these keywords or queries. How and from where these misconceptions have invented? I have no clue about it!

Read and check how much misinformed you are about wedding photography:

Q 1. Karizma Album Is The Best?

Ans: Karizma is not an album product. It is a software program. The program has pre defined templates and custom designs. Photographers choose templates and design the albums.

You must have heard: “Mom …I am going to get a Xerox”. This company named as Xerox has a long history in a photocopier machine. There are other photocopier machines also from HP and Canon. For ages, people mixed the process of getting photocopy with Xerox.

Same story goes for Canvera photo book albums. Customers do not know that Canvera is a company which deals with printing posters, coffee mugs, calendars, designing and printing photo book albums. It is not as such a kind of photo album.

Q 2. Wedding Photography Means Canon 5D Mark Series?

Ans: Wedding photographers used to have Hasselblad in United States. It was very difficult to enter into the weddings without owning a Hasselblad. It is still not affordable by every photographer.

Canon broke this rule a decade before. It launched its 5D mark series with a brand new DSLR. Canon focused on low light photography using high megapixel and high ISO range with other smart features.

More photographers joined wedding photography after the launch of Canon 5D. And, they produced great photos without Hasselblad.

Other brands like Nikon or Sony also jumped into this race. Today, photographers shoot weddings with full frame Nikon D Series, Sony Alpha series and even with Fujifilm cameras.

Why every photographer name Canon 5D mark series in their quotations as a selling tip? Probably, they think that good pictures only come with this camera. But, you can not see the efforts behind the photos. So, camera becomes the topic of the discussion.

When you play a guitar the tone is in your fingers. Tone comes through the guitar. It is there in your mind and fingers. Isn’t it?

In fact, photographers use cameras as a crutch. Holding any tool or gadget does not make you creative. Creativity is related to an imagination and anyone can have it with or without the gadgets.

One needs the medium to express its creativity with efficiency. Here the medium is camera no matter it is Canon or Nikon or Sony etc.

Q 3. Velvet Or Matte Or Glossy is A Paper Quality?

Ans: Paper companies do not process the paper in terms of velvet or matte or glossy etc. The quality of paper comes in GSM (Grams per Square Meter). There are 250 gsm or 300 gsm quality paper etc.

Velvet or Matte or Glossy is not a paper quality. It is kind of lamination. Printing companies layer the paper with such textures of lamination. These are laminated processed sheets.

You can get all these laminated sheets in any GSM paper quality. Companies print the sheets with hot lamination also. These hot laminated sheets are non-tearable.

When you get Velvet or Matte or Glossy, it is just that these are different in look and feel.

Q 4. Candid Shoot is Done With DSLR Or Telephoto/long Lens?

Ans: You are promised that your candid photography will be done by DSLR. In fact, every kind of photography needs a DSLR.

It is done with long lens? Well, not always true. There are wedding photographers who do candid weddings on wide angle lenses or prime fixed lenses.

Their are photographers who stay close enough to the subjects. The famous photographer Robert Capa used to say “If your pictures are not good enough, you are not close enough.”

Long lens gives an advantage to stay far away from the subject. That is why, It is easy for almost every photographer to make candid shots with telephoto lens.

Q 5. You Provide 4K video?

Ans: DSLR companies came up with a new selling tip in last couple of years. This tipping point was 4K video. Camera companies targeted the photographers with this selling point . It forced photographers to shell out more money against this new technology.

Photographers also tell you that it is the best quality video as a selling tip. But you can only witness the 4K quality once you have a device with the 4K resolution of screen.

The resolution of the screen must accommodate 4,096 x 2,160 pixels means 4K resolution. Then only you can witness the 4K quality. But, 4K TV screens have not replaced Full HD screens in our home completely so far.

Your wedding is shot with 4K or Full HD resolution, you will anyway get the best quality.
